Tempo Looks to Solve DSP Shortage

We're addressing the nationwide shortage of direct support professionals by building our own DSP and vendor database. Across our industry, DSPs who care for individuals with developmental disabilities are often categorized together with home health aides, personal care aides, certified nursing assistants and other job categories that don’t accurately describe their roles.

This is a challenge for policymakers, who rely on data to address the shortage of workers providing home and community-based services. While the U.S. government is considering a more robust DSP count, we are creating our own source of available providers, so individuals and their families can get the care they need, faster.
