Top Travel Sites and Apps for 2025: Essential Tools for Disability Accessibility

Planning a trip in 2025? Don't leave home without Wired Magazine's list of best travel sites and apps for the disability community. Tools range from those focused on wheelchair users to blind/low vision and deaf/hard of hearing travelers.

Services like AccessibleGO help wheelchair users choose flights, rental cars and hotels that can meet their needs - and a customer service rep who will call ahead and confirm with the vendor or property that they can indeed accommodate the guest.

Be My Eyes was created to give people who are blind or have low vision virtual access to sighted volunteers over a video call. Volunteers give real-time descriptions of what they see through the phone's camera and relay the information back to the user. A newer feature, Be My AI, gives users access to a combination of computer vision and an artificial intelligence chatbot to describe what it sees, offering access day and night when volunteers may not be available to assist.
