Unlock Braille Literacy: Free Resources from Perkins School for the Blind

January is Braille Literacy Month in honor of Louis Braille, the inventor of the tactile writing and reading system used by people who are blind or have low vision, and who was born in this month in 1809.

In celebration of his life and legacy, Perkins School for the Blind offers printable games, song lyrics, worksheets, parent and teacher resources, and links to request free braille books for children.

Learn more about Louis Braille and the invention of a language at PathsToLiteracy.org and through the Great Inventors: Louis Braille video featured on the website.
